GET ON CANVAS
WE WILL USE CANVAS FOR EVERYTHING
Update March 29, 2020
Hello students and parents,
School starts on Tuesday! I know you are going to receive a lot of communication so I will try to keep everything that I send you as concise as I can.
Please make sure that your email is correct in Q. I can not make updates.
We will be using Canvas for the remainder of the school year and I will publish the course on Tuesday morning. The first modules for all of my classes are available so you can get started. I will unlock the next module soon. Be advised, I may add a few things to help you out in the next week or so, but all of your graded work is set and available. You are free to work at your own pace, but please pay attention to the due dates. I encourage you to stick to them. Do not leave everything to the end.

To Parents
To the parents of my students,
You can do this.
We are in a very tough situation and all we can do is our best. I am here to help and support your student and if you need some support, I will do whatever I can for you too. Some of you are working from home and some of you are on furlough or have been laid off. I know that each situation is different. Please contact me if your family needs assistance and I will help you find it. Please take a look at the Student Resources section of this website for tips on learning from home.
I have my 4-year-old and 17-month-old toddler at home on my own during the day while I work. I understand the challenge many of you face and I know that you understand mine. Please allow yourself some grace. Breathe, you are doing the best you can in a very difficult situation and that is all anyone can ask of you. Just like your child will need breaks throughout the day, you will too. Take time for yourself, however that looks for you. Your well-being is important throughout this process.
If managing life and your child's school work is becoming too stressful, please take a day or two off from school. Relax if you can, have some fun and come back to school work when you are ready. Please encourage your child to do the same if they need it. Our first priority is always the health and safety of our children. We might be looking at May 21st as the last day of school, but you have some time and flexibility to get there however is best for you and your child.
Managing a child's education is hard, but you can do this. Myself and the entire Service High family are here to help.
You got this, and we've got you.
Stay strong and stay safe.
